DIVISIONAL COMPETITION
CHILDREN BORN 2006 - 2013

Children born 2006 - 2013 MUST play in the Divisional Competition.

These children will attend several grading sessions where they play games of netball and graders assess their skill level to place them within a team of children at a similar level. We aim for this to be a fun experience for the players and it should not be stressful in any way.

How is a team put together?
Decisions are based on different combinations and criteria to provide the best outcome for each child, as well as the best interests of the club and association.

These decisions are also made in accordance with the Sunshine Coast Netball Association policies.

On completion of the grading sessions, team compositions are put together primarily on ability and skill level shown and using the information provided to graders.  This does not mean that the best 9 players are put into one team and then the next best 9 are put into another team. Court positions are taken into account to ensure (if possible) that teams have attack players, centre court players, defence players and shooters.

This means that if 6 defenders are all equally skilled then other factors such as on court combinations, flexibility of player's skill, team combinations from previous seasons, competitive nature of player and lastly friendships are taken into account.

Teams will be announced on StackTeamApp.

Sunshine Coast Netball Association Competition

Once all children have been graded by Saints, teams are announced on StackTeamApp.

All teams will then participate in several grading sessions with the team they have been allocated by Saints against other teams registered with the Sunshine Coast Netball Association.

Once the Sunshine Coast Netball Association grading has been completed all teams are placed in a division.  Division 1 being the highest. Divisions will then be allocated their time slot on Saturday according to fixtures.

Fixtures are drawn up for each Division and the competition begins !

All Divisions play full rules, all games are scored and there is a ladder.

Divisional teams train on a Thursday and play games on Saturdays at the Fishermans Road Venue. Game times will be advised once fixtures have been finalised.
